"These are well made hiking boots and probably won't fall apart easily. I wear these for work, but I wouldn't hesitate to use them for hiking. I would say that they would hold up to almost any type of moderate hiking and maybe even some hard core hiking. The Gore-Tex lining is breathable and doesn't make your feet sweat, and the shoes fit well and are true to size. Another plus is that they look really nice for a hiking boot, as most are big, bulky, and ugly. I bought the gray ones, which are actually a much darker gray than what is pictured here.
