I have yet to wrestle aMatch in these shoes being that I purchased them post season but these are fantastic. They are really comfortable to wrestle in and just to even walk around in and they look beautiful.Beautifully designed and smart grip placement. But there are a few cons: I don't like having to have to pull the shoelaces to make room for my feet to slip into and out of the shoes. Although the idea of a zipper is real nice but I often find myself not knowing where to place my shoelaces prior to zipping after tying them, it'd be nice if Adidas made room for somewhere to tuck the laces to make it easier to tuck the laces. And another annoyance is that the shoe gets stained really easily, after my first day on the mat with these shoes I got a bunch of mat stains but I'm not a shoe guy so it doesn't really bother me at all. I also have this problem where while I'm wearing these and I lift my heel there's some room between my heel and the shoe. Perhaps I'm not tying them tight enough? I don't think so, I tie pretty tight. These are all just really minor problems though, they are not deal breakers, I still love these shoes.These are also great weightlifting shoes as wrestling shoes should be great for weightlifting.
I'm not sure if I just received a shoe that was mislabeled at the factory or what. I ordered a 14 2E and what I got was just labeled 14 (although the serial number matched the box that said ""WD""), but it was not even close to being a 14 wide. I contacted the seller and I was assured these are the correct size based on all the numbers (other than the size) matching from the box to the attached tag to the shoe.The shoe is at least 1/2"" more narrow than any 14 wide I own.I compared them to every 14 wide shoe in my closet. Doc martens, nike, new balance and my old footjoy golf shoes. All between 5/8 and 1/2 wider than this shoe. Also seemed like a cheap product in comparison to my old footjoy shoes. I can't really speak to the quality though since I never used them. They are intended to be a light weight shoe so maybe that's why they feel cheap.
It feels comfy and the size is right but it feels a little off, almost crooked like it doesn't fully match my feet's curve. But it's great for the price :)
I'm a huge fan of Adidas shoes especially the superstars. I ordered a pair of these shoes to try something new and I rocked them the same day I got them. I was that impressed with them and no 1 else had them so that was a big bonus. I love the look, the feel and the brand :D
