The Princess model of Reebok's shoes is my first choice whenever needing a pair of casual or work shoes. It has a great "under-stated" sporty ... yet elegant look. I have no desire or need for all the extra frills included in other brand name shoes. I need a good basic comfortable white shoe. I am a Registered Nurse and spend most of my day on my feet. I walk fast or run to meet patient's, family's, and doctor's needs. I discovered, through trial and error, that this shoe meets *all* my requirements: comfort, durability and "professional" look. They come in either white or black. I usually buy two white-colored pairs for work and one black pair for 'everyday' use. The work shoes last 1 - 2 years. The casual shoes about the same. Althugh they may need polish once-in-awhile, most often all one needs to do is wipe the leather with a clean, wet cloth. Most scruffs clean off well. These are my favorite pair of shoes. I bought these for a river tubing trip we go on every year. After ruining my beloved Vibram Fivefinger KSOs last year, I needed to step up my game. I wear a ladies 7.5 and it was a little long, but not to the point where I'm walking out of my shoes. I wore them out to a bar to break them in and nobody could believe they were water shoes, they just looked like really hip sneakers/skimmers.When I wore them out on the river I found that I had to re-tie the laces a few times but did not feel waterlogged.They have a light but sturdy sole and water escapes with ease, but larger clumps of sand and pebbles needed to be rinsed out. The Saco was very swift moving this year and there was a family in a canoe that had no business being in it and found themselves in the swift moving current and their boat on the bottom of the river. Several of my friends and I jumped in to help. I had sure footing on the slippery rocks and was able to walk steadily and dig my feet into the rocky, sandy bottom without having to worry about sharp rocks or rusty, jagged metal hindering my progress of getting the little girl or her mother to safety. I was shocked that they stayed on my feet after the fact and am most certain that if I didn't have shoes this good in the water, I doubt my part of the rescue would have gone as smoothly. A Adidas!!
