I prefer and have worn this style of Reeboks for years.I was unable to find them in the local stores.Ordered my usual size and had to return them and eat the shipping cost.They were just to tight and a bit narrow.Just as a lot of other reviewers have stated, I guess they run a little small.I re-ordered them, this time one size larger and 1 width wider. That is why I rated them 4 stars instead of 5.When they fit properly they are nice and comfortable.
First of all, I do like these shoes, however, I need to start with what I dislike about them....1) They are blazing inferno's on your feet...I don't know what is up with the breathability aspect of these things, and I don't wear cotton socks (does anyone who wanders) but these things should be standard issue on Arctic Explorations and 8000meter peak climbs...noone would ever lose a toe to frostbite.OMG--I did some squats in them in the gym and came back to work and sat down and it felt like my feet were on absolute fire...it doesn't matter, I could have walked around the mall and my feet would have felt the conflagration that these things bring with them...can someone do a study on these?Seriously--I don't have this problem with ANY of my shoes..my shoes don't smell, my feet barely sweat, and these things seriously feel like when you walk on the hot sand on a beach...I kid you not...2) They are stiff as a board...make sure you break them in before you take them down the ol' dusty trail or you will need a box of band aids, a roll of moleskin, and a roll of ducttape in order to make it back to the trailhead....3) In order to combat #2 above, make sure you know how to tie a ""Heel Lock"" knot...it will greatly help reduce the friction from the constant back and forth levering action that the sole causes on your heel.The forefoot doesn't flex well for (a WHILE) and so the heel gets levered, and your achilles area pays the price.4) In order to implement #3 above, make sure you by new, LONGER laces...as the pretty laces that come with the shoes aren't LONG enough to tie a ""Heel Lock"" knot...well they might be, but just barely...its sorta like tying a party balloon, there is enough to get it done, but only if you are darn good...Read more ›

These certainly look amazing. The quality of the materials feels very studry; they do the job on warmth as well. Snowboots have always had similarly strong laces but these are quite thin and kind of stretchy. Would be very hard to tie with gloves on. The treadpattern works well in snow but on flat ground or ice they are extremely slick and kind of dangerous, which is weird, because these are exactly the type of apres boots you'd like to be wearing around town. One star knocked off for each of these two issues, but overall a great boot.
