I wear these shoes in the summer all day every day, in all environments, standing water, mud & muck, doesn't matter. These shoes are actually waterproof, I can hose them off all I want. I have gone through several pairs of North Face Hedgehog 3 shoes, but was never impressed with how long they held together and they weren't truly waterproof like these Adidas shoes. The shoelace system takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's a lot faster and I have never had them creep loose. The lugs on the soles under the ball of my foot may not last quite as long as I would like, but I also wear them a lot on concrete. They're a little expensive but I would definitely buy again, they're worth every penny to me.
