I used these in Hawaii for rocky terrain like watery hikes and rocky beaches.They were the perfect water shoe.The only complaint is that the mesh was too big inside the shoe, so some stones would get in the shoe, but weren't easy to get out of the shoe (the bottom part has a different size mesh and you have to turn the shoe upside down and whack it a few hundred times to get the rocks out).That was only really a problem on one beach, Black Sand beach in Maui, so I'd still strongly recommend them.Oh, and they're cute.:)

Bought these last year for my 5 yr old last year, with a size 12 shoe, and originally they were big.After a year, he is now a size 13, and they fit great.They are his favorite pair of soccer socks and keep his shinguards in place.I just bought him another pair (red) this week.You can get these at a big box sports retailer for 7-9 bucks, but limited color selection.With prime shipping, I don't mind paying a few dollars more. They are well made and he is now entering his 3rd season w/ these socks and are still in great shape.
