This is a bulky looking boot. Somewhat like a space cadet sort of boot.If you like different then this is a must have.But if you are more reserved and not looking for attention then this is not the boot for you.Kind of like a back to the furture type boot. For me I think the boot is pretty cool as i dont care what others think, so i will rock my boots to the fullest but wish they were a bit bigger.Usually adidas runs abit big so i was surprised that the boot had a snug fit at the top toe area. Cant speak for snow hold up and more than likely I will never wear in snow.Overall i would purchase again but a half size bigger if that was an option"
"Background:I have tried two variants of Asics shoes, a Saucony Triumph, and some other styles of Adidas shoes. I used to like the Adidas Adistar and bought a few pair at the store when they were on closeout. Those lasted me for a couple of years of off and on running with over 400 miles on each. When it was time for a new shoe, I bought the Adidas Ride 4 (which was supposed to be the same as the Adistar) and the Supernova Glide 4 shoes which were significantly cheaper. The Ride felt more comfortable in the store, but when I am running, the Glides just flow so smoothly. My gait feels natural and I never feel like I am clomping - which I have had at times with all of my previous shoes.In the spring I bought a pair of Glide 5 shoes hoping that they did not change it much, and I feel that both shoes run pretty much the same.I love these shoes.My Glide 4 shoes are now above 350 miles so it is getting near time to retire them.I typically cycle between 2-3 pairs of shoes and was running 25-30 miles a week until the last 8 weeks or so when I started training for a marathon and now am doing 35-40 miles a week.The last few weeks I have been using the Glide 4 and Glide 5 almost exclusively.My legs feel better after my runs with these shoes and my injuries have improved significantly.The Glide 4's are doing really well at high mileage and the Glide 5's have a bit over 100 miles on them now and going strong.My brother also bought a pair of the Glide 5 shoes and likes them a lot also.The longevity of my Adidas shoes has been excellent, and I expect that to continue with these shoes.It really is hard to explain why these shoes are so good, other than that they let me just run and run smoothly.My stride feels better in these shoes than any other shoe I have worn.Read more ›
