The Adidas Springblade Running Shoe's fully welded, air mesh upper is straddled by a series of techfitTM overlays that reinforce its structural integrity without adding undue weight, delivering a shoe that is simultaneously breathable, flexible and robust. Air is allowed to permeate the interior whilst a seamless, sock-like fit and comfortable textile lining sit agreeably against the skin to minimise the risk of chafing and consequent blistering. An external heel counter holds the foot in place for a secure, reliable lockdown throughout. The Springblade's principle performance element and party piece is its midsole. 16 polymer blades replace traditional foam cushioning compounds to deliver a unique, revolutionary approach to cushioning and propulsion, with a striking aesthetic to match. Each blade is aggressively appointed in such a way that energy obtained during the heelstrike phase is returned during subsequent phases of the gait, culminating in an explosive toe off that propels the wearer forward. Energy is recycled, compression set is eradicated and smoother, more efficient runs abound. Each blade is tipped with a durable ADIWEARTM compound that reinforces areas that are particularly prone to wear and extends the outsole's overall longevity.
This is a really comfortable slide for me. It does massage your feet when you walk. It does take some people a little time to get use to because the nubs may not feel as comfortable until your feet have a chance to get use to them. The shoes will last anywhere from 6 to 18 months depending on how often you wear them and where you wear them. This is definitely a good buy. Give yourself time to adjust to the slide if you are not use to the nubs of the slide.
