I wear these shoes in the summer all day every day, in all environments, standing water, mud & muck, doesn't matter. These shoes are actually waterproof, I can hose them off all I want. I have gone through several pairs of North Face Hedgehog 3 shoes, but was never impressed with how long they held together and they weren't truly waterproof like these Adidas shoes. The shoelace system takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's a lot faster and I have never had them creep loose. The lugs on the soles under the ball of my foot may not last quite as long as I would like, but I also wear them a lot on concrete. They're a little expensive but I would definitely buy again, they're worth every penny to me.

I have been buying the Nike Monarch's for years and have loved them. Unfortuanetly the last pair I bought have a very noisey squeak with every step I take. This pair is now the ""work in the yard"" shoes - I am now wearing New Balance. Hopefully Nike will fix the problem on next years model as these are the most comfortable sneakers I have ever had."
I have relatively wide feet and have always liked the way Adidas fit. These have good arch support and an overall comfortable feel. I wear a size 12 and these are accurate to size.The only negative is they are a bit warm. They are waterproof so they don't breathe very well, but that's probably true of any waterproof shoe.
