"I've owned a prior generation of this shoe, which held up for a couple of years of on the mat use, but this current model failed after just the first on-mat workout. While I'm normally bare-foot, I wear these shoes when recovering from broken toes or other injuries...usually successfully.All I was doing when this pair broke was a pretty hard TKD warm-up with a lot of round-house kicks. The twisting of the base foot eventually caused the sole of the shoe to peal off the bottom leather. The shoe is only glued together there, not stitched. Once the rubber pulled away, it made the shoe unusable...rolling under the foot and preventing any turning motions.Sent it back. Going to look for a shoe that has better construction.
