"I purchased this shoe for my son for baseball at a local Academy store before it was available on Amazon. I always look for the lightest weigh quality shoes for my kids at a decent price. That pretty well sums up this shoe. It seems true to size, and is durable. We had been buying Nike, and it is a very good shoe, but this one was a bit lighter despite being higher on the ankle, at a similar price point. Moderately higher priced shoes such as these seem to get you newer lighter, usually more durable materials. We are starting our second season in these. My son likes them, we will buy them going forward. The light weight of this shoe is truly amazing, and it is a mid ankle shoe. Thanks.

I bought these for my H.S. age son who wears size 14.Neither one of us has ever been able to fit into Nike shoes as they are way too narrow.He has used these for about a months and LOVES them and says they are the best basketball shoe he has ever worn.First of all there is enough width for his foot, and of course comfort is paramount.Second he likes how light they are without feeling "flimsy".Lastly, if you look at the picture you can see a mesh on the toe section.Well that's what it is, and it allows them to breathe and keeps his foot cooler than any other basketball shoe.We'll see how they hold up, but I expect we will be buying them again."
